The Sounds of the Shakuhachi. Shakuhachi solo concert based on the honkyoku music but also including other musical genres. Presentations had included places such as: Hiroshima, BuenosAires, Santiago de Chile, several cities in Spain, Belgium, Germany, France,UK, among others.
Kūkaku. Together with dancer Vika Kleiman and Ariadna Pujol in live audio-visual. The show explores concepts related to Japanese Aesthetics in a trans-disciplinary and re-contextualised creation.
Contemporary shakuhachi. During the last decade, I have been exploring contemporary musical forms in several formations and genres. This have included concerts with Orchestras and ensembles (Spanish National Orchestra, Royal Liege Orchestra, Plural Ensemble), solo or other formations. These option offers a concert centred around the shakuhachi in a contemporary (and not necessarily Japanese) language.
Neiro duo. Together with Esteban Algora, accordion. This duo offers a concert with different programs in which sound is the guide. With solo compositions for each of the instrument and duo explorations both from composed pieces and improvisations.
Ukigumo. Together with dancer Andres Corchero. A performative show created from the Japanese tradition of writing a poem before dying (Jisei no ku). Dance, poetry and music on stage.
Contes Zen. Together with Marta Millà, narration. The show offers a selection of Zen stories narrated by Marta Milla in Spanish or Catalàn with music created and performed in the shakuhachi by Horacio Curti.
Shirabe duo. Together with Yoshie Sakai at the koto, we introduce the traditional music of these two emblematic instruments of Japan also making an incursion into more modern musical forms. Presentations included places such as AlamarFestival 2007, Valencia City of Arts and Sciences and Arrels d’arrel festival.
